Flower Delivery in Znojmo

Znojmo stands on the left bank of the river Dyje. It is 65 kilometres south-west of Brno and 83 kilometres north-west of Vienna.

Between 1222 and 1226, Přemysl Otakar I granted Znojmo royal town status, making it the first such town in South Moravia. Znojmo is an urban conservation area, and an extensive, multi-level underground complex dating from the 13th to the 17th century lies beneath its historic centre. The 12th-century Rotunda of St Catherine survives from the original castle and has wall paintings dating from 1134. Konrad II Ota founded the Premonstratensian monastery at Louka, south of the historic centre, in 1190. The grammar school named after Dr Karel Polesný was founded in 1919 and stands on Komenského Square in the town centre. Znojmo Municipal Theatre on Republic Square, designed by Alexander Graf, was formally opened on 29 September 1900.
