Rosice lies in the Boskovice Furrow. The town is 16 km west of Brno. The Bobrava and Říčanský Stream meet there.
The first mention of Rosice comes from a charter dating to 1259. Rosice was granted town status in 1907. Rosice Castle stands on a hill above the confluence and offers a castle exhibition as well as exhibitions of toys and Rosice glass.
