The town of Napajedla lies on the Morava River, about 13 km south-west of Zlín. Its first written record dates from 1366, and Napajedla has held town status since 1898.
Napajedla's Baroque chateau dates from 1764 to 1769 and now serves as a hotel. The Napajedla stud, founded in 1886, became known for breeding English Thoroughbreds and is a cultural monument.
