Kamenice lies about 26 km south-east of central Prague. It has ten parts. In 2025, the municipality had 5,187 residents.
Strojmetal Aluminium Forging grew out of Josef Ringhoffer's copper works dating from 1824. Today, it forges aluminium chassis components for cars in Kamenice.
The Baroque Štiřín Chateau in Kamenice dates from 1750. An English-style park with ponds and a nine-hole golf course surrounds it.
